The Birth Basics Birth Class is a 4.5 hour class taught by Bethany Roberts.

It will cover 4 main topics:

Informed Decision Making

The Labor Process

Coping & Comfort Measures / Labor Positions

Pushing & Birth

How do I know when I'm in labor?

When should I go to hospital/call my midwife?

How can my partner support me during labor?

How can I prevent tearing?

This class will answer all those questions & more.

Each couple will receive a bag filled with items that can help support you during labor.

This class is perfect for first-time parents or anyone wanting more than what a hospital childbirth class offers.

This is also a perfect refresher for experienced parents!

As an evidence-based class, we do not promote one specific method of birth. This class promotes the goal of a safe, healthy, and empowering birth for Mom and baby. It's structured to empower you by being informed of your options, and being in the driver's seat when it comes to making decisions about your care and how you choose to give birth.

This is a class of 1-4 couples, and is centered around power-point, class discussion, and practicing hands-on comfort measures techniques. We have yoga mats and birth balls available for use during class. You are welcome to bring a pillow or blanket from home if you'd like as well.

Location: Amada Senior Care in Chattanooga

Price: $200 per couple
